Poem for Whitney

As he sat by the television,
Warming his numb hands,
He thought of her.
A sour forbidden fruit,
For whom he had no sugar
To make lemonade.
He remembered her
Sun tan lotion eyes
That made him rush into love
Like a two-headed goucho.
